A place for children and adults to learn and have fun together. Active church includes crafts, games, songs, prayer, coming together as well as refresments and a play corner for young children. It is a great way for parents or grand parents to have real quality time together with their children.
All ages are welcome but be prepared to get involved!

Smarden Church and Biddenden Church welcome young people from age 11 to take part in the ringing of bells. Practice is on Wednesdays (Smarden) or Thursdays (Biddenden) from 7.45 till 9pm, though young people may leave at 9pm. As ringers progress they can take part in the ringing for the main morning services and for occasional services such as weddings.
See our Bellringing page for details of contacts.

The rector (Alex Bienfait) will be delighted to discuss the baptism of children. See Baptisms page for more details.

We are in full compliance with Church of England policy and practice on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and we follow safe recruitment practices.

Our churches belong to a partnership of churches supporting a Christian schools worker, in Homewood School (Tenterden). Churches in the local area setup a charity the Apollos Trust, to provide for this. Homewood is a school where many of our young people of secondary age attend.
