Teddies Tower of Terror – 25th August 2025
Last Updated on November 4, 2025 by admin
Bank Holiday Monday at All Saints Church Biddenden was anything but ordinary—it transformed into a thrilling launchpad for daring teddies who bravely zipped from the church tower, all in support of the Church restoration project.
With sunshine overhead and ukulele tunes filling the air, teddies of every shape and size lined up for a health check from our expert medics before being hoisted skyward in a basket, ready for their high-flying adventure. Some were visibly nervous—and rightly so! This was no gentle glide. Four courageous bears lost their grip mid-flight and took an unexpected tumble. Thankfully, our quick-thinking first aid team was on hand, and all bears were patched up and declared fit and well.
One anxious bunny found himself perched in a tree for a suspenseful 15 minutes before being rescued by heroic helpers wielding extension poles. Meanwhile, an overenthusiastic, oversized bear barrelled across the finish line and accidentally bowled over a group of children waiting to greet him—no harm done, just a bit of surprise!
It wasn’t just teddy bears taking the plunge—monkeys, frogs, seals, and even a stegosaurus joined the airborne antics. When the stegosaurus got stuck halfway down the zip wire, Super Ted swooped in to save the day and guided him safely to the end.
The day was packed with joy and laughter, cream teas, live music, a teddy tombola, a teddy trail, and a raffle. This free community celebration not only brought smiles to faces young and old but also raised an incredible £1000 for the church restoration fund.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in with such enthusiasm—and a special salute to our fearless teddies. You truly stole the show!
